Code of Ethics

As systems thinking practitioners, we are committed to doing what is right and honourable. We set high standards for ourselves, and we aspire to meet these standards in all aspects of our lives – at work, at home, and in service to our profession.

This “code of ethics” describes the expectations that we have of ourselves and our fellow practitioners in the community. It articulates the ideals and behaviours that are mandatory in our professional and volunteer roles.
We believe that the collective conduct of individuals shapes the credibility and reputation of the Systems Thinking Alliance. This code of ethics establishes an understanding of appropriate behaviour and applied to:

  1. All Systems Thinking Alliance members
  2. Individuals holding or applying for any Systems Thinking Alliance certification
  3. Individuals who serve the Systems Thinking Alliance in a volunteer capacity
